Identifying Valuable Improvements
Existing State: A public transportation agency was looking to enhance or replace their existing software toolset. In addition, many of their business processes were not consistently utilized and/or only existing through spreadsheets and email. New and current employees were not clear on their roles and responsibilities.
Approach: We worked together to identify the most critical risks, opportunities and non-standardized processes. This was done through a project delivery framework and stage gate mapping with added layering of people, process, technology and tools. We provided recommendations on specific “quick wins” as well as observed themes and a roadmap to start addressing the most critical themes.
Result: The Executive team was able to clearly understand current value-driven recommendations for addressing critical business needs. The roadmap provided a path for starting to address items. They started immediately on the quick win items while planning for longer lead initiatives.
